President Sadyr Japarov received Prince Rahim Aga Khan
On 1 March, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov received Prince Rahim Aga Khan, the eldest son of His Majesty the Aga Khan and a board member of the Aga Khan Development Network.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), particularly in the fields of education, environment and green economy.

The Head of State expressed gratitude for the significant contribution of Prince Aga Khan IV to the development of cooperation and assistance in improving the lives of vulnerable people in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan. He also thanked for the support provided to ethnic Kyrgyz living in the Greater and Lesser Pamirs of Afghanistan.

In turn, Prince Rahim Aga Khan emphasised the importance of deepening cooperation and developing institutions that are in line with Kyrgyzstan's national priorities, and expressed readiness to assist in this process. Rahim Aga Khan also highlighted Kyrgyzstan's achievements in such areas as the economy and foreign policy, and recognised the foresight of the Kyrgyz government in climate change and environmental issues.

In conclusion, the parties expressed confidence in further fruitful co-operation between Kyrgyzstan and the Aga Khan Development Network and the achievement of common goals to improve the lives of citizens and the development of the country.
