The event was attended by R. Bekturov, Manager of the IFCA, T. Krümmel, Chairman of the IFCA International Arbitration Centre, K. Campbell-Holt, Registrar of the IFCA Court and Chief of Staff of the International Arbitration Centre.
The Head of Kazakhstan noted the significant role of this institution in resolving commercial disputes.
"The Astana International Financial Centre is an important platform trusted by investors. A key role in this regard is played by the IFCA Court, which has an independent judicial system and complies with international standards. Dear Lord Burnett, I congratulate you on your appointment to this responsible position", - said K.-J. Tokayev.
The President of Kazakhstan also expressed his gratitude to the former President of the Court, Lord J. Mance, for his diligent fulfilment of his duties and his efforts to ensure fairness and justice in every case heard by the IFCA Court.
K.-J. Tokayev also emphasised the importance of implementing the best practices of international law in dispute resolution, as well as the active use of modern technologies, including artificial intelligence.
