Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev, supervising the agro-industrial complex, informed about the activities on wheat crop care, preparation of areas for cotton and planting potatoes and vegetable and melon crops in the velayats.

The head of Turkmenistan emphasised the importance of timely and quality preparation for the spring sowing campaign as a key factor for obtaining a rich harvest.

The President instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to keep under constant control the issues of planning and preparation of areas for cotton, condition of agricultural machinery, provision of cotton growers with high-quality seeds and observance of agro-technical norms in caring for winter crops.

The khakims of velayats have been instructed to ensure organised sowing of potatoes, onions and other vegetable crops, as well as full readiness of machinery for sowing work.
