Yerzhan Sadenov reported that in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State given at the expanded meeting of the board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the main emphasis in work has been placed on prevention and improving the legal literacy of citizens. This has allowed to reduce the crime rate since the beginning of the year. The number of thefts, robberies, robberies, crimes committed in the sphere of family and domestic relations, on the streets, by minors and previously convicted persons has significantly decreased.

Kasym-Jomart Tokayev was briefed on measures being taken to develop a unified law on the prevention of offences and to create specialised units to combat domestic violence.

The President was briefed on the results of work to counter organised crime, drug crime and extremism. The Minister informed about the creation of an independent service to combat cybercrime.

Yerzhan Sadenov also reported on preparations for an extraordinary certification of middle-level management staff.

Following the meeting, the head of state gave a number of instructions to further improve law and order and public security in the country.
