Uzbekistan’s Tourism Surge: A Record-Breaking Start to 2024!
Uzbekistan is experiencing a tourism boom! In the first half of 2024, the country welcomed 3.53 million foreign tourists, a remarkable 13.3% increase compared to the same period last year.
Leading the way are visitors from Kyrgyzstan (1.06 million) and Tajikistan (1.05 million). Kazakhstan followed with 668.4 thousand tourists, while Russia contributed 364.5 thousand. Other notable contributors include Turkmenistan (67.2 thousand), Turkey (51.9 thousand), China (28.7 thousand), India (28.2 thousand), South Korea (19.6 thousand), and Italy (17.7 thousand). Tourists from other countries added up to 181 thousand.
