Kyrgyzstan launches assembly of its own laptops, tablets, and phones under the “Meken” brand for the first time.
For the first time in the history of Kyrgyzstan, the assembly of electronics under the national brand "Meken" has begun. A subsidiary of Kyrgyzindustria JSC, Kyrgyzelectronics LLC, has already received test samples from the well-known Chinese manufacturer Clovertek Industries.
It is planned that the equipment will be sold at a fairly affordable price compared to similar foreign models, while still meeting high-quality standards. For example, smartphones, according to preliminary information, will cost about $130, making them an attractive offer for a wide range of buyers.
This initiative will ensure affordable prices for schoolchildren and students, and contribute to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic's plans to provide teachers and schoolchildren with laptops.
Kyrgyzindustria JSC, established in 2022, sets ambitious goals for the development of domestic production, and the launch of Meken is a significant step in this direction.
