Uzbekistan and UNICEF Boost Efforts for Child Welfare
On September 10, Uzbekistan's Children's Ombudsman met with Regina Maria Castillo, UNICEF’s new representative in the country, to strengthen joint initiatives on child rights and protection.
Key topics included improving legal literacy for children, enhancing specialist training in child justice, and developing measures to remove minors from the justice system. They also discussed steps to prevent harassment in schools and plan joint monitoring visits to assess conditions for minors in institutions.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing collaboration to improve child welfare in Uzbekistan.
