Uchkurgan (Kensai) Checkpoint Opens on Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan Border
On September 12, the Uchkurgan (Kensai) checkpoint officially opened on the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan border, capable of handling up to 10,000 people, 500 trucks, and 300 cars daily.
Deputy Prime Minister Achilbay Ramatov attended the ceremony, following the earlier reopening of the Karasu checkpoint in the Andijan region.
The Uchkurgan checkpoint will boost trade, tourism, and regional connectivity, easing transport throughout the Fergana Valley and reducing traffic at the Dustlik checkpoint by up to 40%.
