Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to Launch “Seamless Transit” Pilot
Following the inaugural Working Group meeting, the Revenue Committee of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Finance and the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Economy and Finance have confirmed their joint commitment to the “Seamless Transit” pilot project.
Key objectives:
???? Streamline trade procedures and reduce customs clearance times
???? Implement electronic transit documents
???? Integrate the two countries’ customs IT systems
The pilot phase is scheduled for completion by end‑2026. Both parties have agreed to maintain a constructive dialogue, finalize the regulatory and technical framework, and conduct joint monitoring of outcomes.
