It has been proposed to hold the “Central Asia + USA” summit in 2025
Members of the U.S. Congress Sydney Kamlager-Dove and Bill Huizenga have appealed to President Donald Trump, requesting that the “Central Asia + United States” Summit be held in person by the end of 2025. It has been proposed that the Summit take place in Washington, D.C., in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the C5+1 cooperation format. In their letter, Central Asia was recognized as a region of strategic importance, with proposals to enhance cooperation in the areas of security and critical minerals, and to repeal the Jackson–Vanik amendment. The letter emphasizes that convening the Summit would represent a historic opportunity to lay the foundation for U.S. relations with the region over the next decade.
