IICA will host an international conference on “Uzbekistan–Tajikistan: New Horizons of Alliance and Regional Cooperation”
On 12 March 2026, the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) will host an international scientific and practical conference titled “Uzbekistan–Tajikistan: New Horizons of Alliance and Regional Cooperation.”

The event is jointly organized by the International Institute for Central Asia and the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The conference will focus on the current state and future prospects of Uzbekistan–Tajikistan cooperation, while also developing proposals aimed at strengthening bilateral and multilateral collaboration.

The international conference will bring together officials, representatives of parliamentary institutions, the diplomatic corps, business circles and associations, as well as experts from analytical and academic institutions of both countries. Participants will also include representatives of higher education institutions, creative unions, and national cultural centers.

Experts will take part in three thematic sessions: “Uzbekistan and Tajikistan: Towards a New Quality of Allied Partnership”; “Prospects for Mutually Beneficial Cooperation in the Areas of Economy, Transport, Education, Science, Culture and Tourism”; and “Strengthening Cooperation between the Two Countries within Multilateral Regional Frameworks.”
