Central Asian Countries Agree on Measures to Coordinate Water and Energy Systems
On April 27, a regular meeting of ministers of energy and water resources from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan was held in Bishkek, aimed at strengthening regional cooperation.
The discussions reviewed the outcomes of the autumn–winter period and addressed measures to enhance the reliability of energy supply. Particular attention was given to preparations for the 2026–2027 vegetation season, including ensuring stable system operations and load balancing.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue implementing coordinated operational regimes, strengthen cross-sectoral coordination, and deepen regional energy cooperation.
