The first Forum of Young Parliamentarians of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic was held in Tashkent
The first Forum of Young Parliamentarians of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic was held at the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis under the motto “Youth – Towards Shared Development and Peace”. The event brought together representatives of the parliaments of the two countries, young deputies, members of youth parliaments, and experts.

During the forum, participants acknowledged the steadily developing broad strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. They discussed issues related to the development of youth parliamentary diplomacy, the exchange of experience in lawmaking, the broader involvement of young people in these processes, and the promotion of joint initiatives in innovation, education, ecology, and digital technologies.

As part of the forum, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Youth Parliament under the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and the Youth Council under the Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. The agreement aims to establish a permanent platform for dialogue among young parliamentarians, facilitate the exchange of experience on legislative initiatives, and implement joint projects.

The young parliamentarians from Kyrgyzstan also gained first-hand insight into the activities of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

In addition, they visited IT Park, Kreativ Park, and the Center of Islamic Civilization, where they learned about the broad opportunities being created for young people in Uzbekistan, as well as the country’s innovative environment and rich spiritual heritage.
