Below are the main initiatives put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev:
✅ the establishment of the Tashkent International Financial Centre, offering a zero-tax regime on key taxes for participants, alongside the introduction of international legal frameworks, including English common law principles and an independent commercial court;
✅ the development of the capital market and expansion of alternative financing instruments, including the adoption of the Laws on the Capital Market and on Alternative Investment Funds;
✅ the expansion of industrial cooperation and the formation of new high value-added supply chains in mechanical engineering, chemicals, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, and construction materials;
✅ the deepening of cooperation in green energy and artificial intelligence, including the development of energy storage systems, modernization of power grids, creation of green-powered data centres, and the implementation of national digital and AI programs;
✅ the acceleration of regional transport and logistics projects, including the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway, the Trans-Afghan Corridor, and the development of the Middle Corridor, as well as the construction of new international airports and logistics hubs;
✅ the elevation of investment cooperation at the regional development level through large-scale urbanization programs, construction of new cities, housing sector expansion, tourism development, and agribusiness growth with strong private investment participation;
✅ the strengthening of interregional cooperation and the establishment of a Regional Alliance of Investment Councils of Central Asia and the Caucasus to create a more integrated and attractive investment environment.
