Emomali Rahmon: "The Uzbek-speaking population of Tursunzoda must be provided with Uzbek-language educational institutions and textbooks"
During a working trip to Tursunzoda, the President of Tajikistan instructed officials to build schools with instruction in Uzbek for the city's Uzbek-speaking population and to supply them with textbooks and teaching materials in their native language.
The instruction came at the opening of Secondary School No. 21, one of the facilities commissioned ahead of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence.
