Javlon Vakhabov Met with Advisor to the President of Finland
During a working visit to Helsinki, IICA Javlon Vakhabov met with Ville Brummer, Advisor to the President of Finland.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of agreements reached following the visit of President Alexander Stubb of Finland to Uzbekistan in October last year.

Particular attention was paid to further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade and investment, education, humanitarian exchanges, peace mediation, and sustainable development, as well as expanding multilateral engagement within the framework of the new “Central Asia – Nordics” platform.

Javlon Vakhabov noted that the visit of President Alexander Stubb to Uzbekistan marked the first historic visit of its kind by a Finnish head of state to the country in 33 years and opened a new chapter in the development of Uzbekistan–Finland relations.

According to him, one of the notable outcomes of the visit was the formation of a portfolio of prospective joint projects worth over €1 billion, demonstrating the significant potential for deepening trade and economic cooperation and the growing mutual interest of the business communities of both countries.

The sides agreed to continue active work to further advance the Uzbekistan–Finland partnership and ensure the practical implementation of the agreements reached, aimed at translating the high level of political dialogue into concrete and forward-looking joint projects.
