The meeting discussed the current state and opportunities for the development of interparliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Norway, as well as interaction within the new multilateral platform “C5+N5.”
It was noted that the Norwegian Parliament is planning to establish a parliamentary Friendship group with Central Asia, bringing together Norwegian members of parliament to promote cooperation between the two regions.
Javlon Vakhabov emphasized that Norway will become the third Nordic country after Finland and Sweden where such a format of cooperation will be institutionalized.
According to him, this form of parliamentary interaction will contribute to the development of humanitarian exchanges, strengthening contacts between societies, and raising awareness among Norwegian policy-makers about contemporary developments and opportunities in Central Asia.
