IICA Deputy Director Meets President of the Central American Court of Justice (SICA)
On February 27 in Madrid, Sh. Fayziev, Deputy Director of the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA), met with S. Grande, President of the Central American Court of Justice of the Central American Integration System (SICA).

The discussion focused on prospects for launching an interregional dialogue «Central Asia – SICA», the experience of regional integration in Central America, and opportunities for expanding expert-level cooperation.

The sides also explored the possibility of establishing an interregional analytical center as a platform for systematic dialogue, joint research, and the development of coordinated recommendations on integration, security, migration, and sustainable development.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to initiate institutional cooperation between leading think tanks from both regions.

SICA (Sistema de la Integración Centroamericana) is an integration association of 8 Central American States (Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, El Salvador and the Dominican Republic), established in 1991. The main bodies of the association are the Summit of Presidents, the Councils of Ministers, the Central American Parliament and the Central American Court of Justice.
