IICA and KazISS Discussed Expansion of Expert Cooperation and Joint Projects
On the sidelines of the Central Asian Expert Forum, Director of the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) Javlon Vakhabov met with Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies (KazISS) Zhandos Shaymardanov. The parties exchanged views on the current state of cooperation and agreed on approaches to its further development.

During the meeting, the IICA Director emphasized that strengthening the IICA – KazISS partnership remains a consistent priority and provided updates on the implementation of the Joint Action Plan for 2025–2026. The parties also discussed information and analytical support for the upcoming C5 Summit in Tashkent, including expert participation in television programs, preparation of thematic publications, as well as the possibility of joint work on books and monographs dedicated to key areas of regional cooperation.

For his part, the KazISS Director underscored the importance of systematic engagement with IICA, reaffirmed his interest in deepening the partnership, and expressed readiness for regular expert exchanges. According to him, maintaining permanent working contacts will enable consistent implementation of agreed plans and reinforce analytical support for the regional agenda.

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of mutual readiness to advance practical cooperation and implement joint initiatives aimed at strengthening expert dialogue and developing the research cooperation.
