During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the development of cooperation between Central Asia and Northern Europe in the field of water resource management, as well as prospects for strengthening and expanding expert ties between analytical centers of the two regions.
Kamilla Sultanova shared Finland’s experience, where institutional support and interagency coordination play a key role in ensuring water security.
It was noted that water resource management issues are becoming one of the main factors in international politics, especially in the context of climate change. Governance in this area requires both technical solutions and diplomatic engagement.
The parties also discussed upcoming events, including thematic conferences, expert meetings, and educational initiatives aimed at developing cooperation in water diplomacy.
Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in developing expert dialogue and expanding cooperation in the field of water diplomacy and sustainable water resource management.
