Amb. Vakhabov outlined IICA’s strategic priorities, provided an in-depth briefing on current regional dynamics and shared detailed information on current cooperation processes in Central Asia and the interaction between regional states within the “CA+” platform.

Dr.Elena Lazarou, the Director of the ELIAMEP highly commended the results achieved in developing regional cooperation in Central Asia, noting Uzbekistan’s role as a pivotal driver of this process.

The discussion highlighted the prospects for Greece’s involvement in joint initiatives under the partnership between the EU and Central Asia. This cooperation will build upon the agreements reached at the inaugural “EU Central Asia” Summit in Samarkand.
The participants also emphasized the importance of maintaining an ongoing dialogue between expert communities and establishing linkages between the think tanks of both countries.
Joint research on the most relevant issues of mutual interest, followed by the publication of findings, has been set as a top priority for cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, both parties expressed their readiness to expand practical cooperation and implement joint projects, including mutual visits and expert discussions within bilateral cooperation and multilateral platforms.
