The event brought together representatives of relevant ministries and government agencies, as well as the Youth Parliament under the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, participants discussed the key trends in the transformation of drug-related threats in Central Asia. They noted that drug trafficking remains one of the major challenges to regional security, while alongside traditional transit routes, the role of domestic production of synthetic drugs is increasing.
Particular attention was paid to the need to adapt preventive efforts to the digital environment, including the development of modern forms of engagement with young people and the use of social media to disseminate preventive content.
Following the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of further improving national and regional mechanisms for combating drug trafficking, strengthening interstate cooperation, and developing preventive measures.
