Central Asian intelligence leaders meet in Ferghana

Chairman of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan Abdusalom Azizov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan – Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchibek Tashiyev, Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan Soimomin Yatimov met in Ferghana, Uzbekistan.

The delegates discussed terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, illegal migration, combating smuggling and other cross-border threats. The delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border and the demarcation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz border were also touched upon as these three countries have been taking significant strides towards peaceful resolution of border disputes.
