Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Unite to Protect Migratory Wildlife
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have ratified an agreement to enhance environmental conservation by focusing on migratory species like the saiga antelope, gazelle, and argali.
Approved by Kazakhstan's Mazhilis, the agreement aims to boost the Ustyurt saiga population and regulate transboundary waste management to protect ecosystems.
The countries will also collaborate on climate adaptation efforts, including reducing carbon emissions and introducing carbon capture technologies. Joint activities in the Aral Sea basin will promote scientific research, educational programs, and improved environmental management practices.
