EU-Central Asia Summit Set for April 3-4 in Samarkand
European Union leaders, including European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, are scheduled to attend the inaugural EU-Central Asia summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on April 3-4, 2025.
Hosted by Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the summit will also feature the leaders of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
The agenda includes discussions on enhancing cooperation in transport and digital connectivity, critical raw materials, economic and security matters, and the transition to sustainable energy sources.
The summit aims to solidify these partnerships and promote sustainable development in the region.
