Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Launch First Cross-Border Transport Using Digital e-Permit System
Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have completed their first cross-border cargo transport using the new electronic permit (e-Permit) system. This system allows for the issuance and exchange of permits in a fully digital format, aiming to improve efficiency and reduce processing time in international road freight transport.
The first shipment, involving a truck from an Uzbek transport company, arrived in Azerbaijan under the e-Permit system. This marks a step forward in the digitalization of cross-border transport procedures between the two countries.
