First regular freight train departs from Chongqing to Central Asia
On April 20, the first regular freight train from Chongqing (Southwest China) departed for Uzbekistan, carrying locally produced polyester granules.
According to Xinhua, the route will operate on a regular basis with two shipments per month. This marks a major step in strengthening logistics cooperation between China and Central Asian countries within the Belt and Road Initiative.
