The Head of State outlined key areas of joint action within the framework of the Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
Key Points:
✅ It was emphasized that there is no intention to establish cumbersome structures as part of the regional process;
✅ A flexible and clear framework for cooperation was proposed, under which strong, sovereign, and independent states work together on the basis of mutual respect, trust, and pragmatism;
✅ The idea of establishing a common space for cooperation with regions sharing historical, economic, and transportation ties was put forward;
✅ An initiative was introduced to hold an international conference in Tashkent next year entitled "Interregional Dialogue for Peace and Sustainable Connectivity: The Central Asian Approach";
✅ The idea of jointly producing a finished product based on the formula "Six Economies, One Product" was put forward;
✅ It was proposed to hold a Central Asia–Azerbaijan Business Forum in Khiva in 2027;
✅ The establishment of a dedicated platform to provide financial and technical support for joint investment projects was initiated;
✅ A common approach to transportation infrastructure development was emphasized, involving the establishment of production, logistics, and service facilities, as well as industrial zones, along new transportation corridors;
✅ It was proposed to expedite the establishment of the Infrastructure Development Council and hold its first meeting in Uzbekistan;
✅ It was emphasized that their water scarcity is becoming an increasingly serious constraint on the development of Central Asia; Today, significant water losses are costing our region far too much. That is why it is important to fully implement our joint initiative on the Decade of Practical Action for the Rational Use of Water Resources in Central Asia.
✅ The preparation of a Joint Concept on Low-Carbon Energy Potential was initiated;
✅ It was proposed to launch a pilot Environmental Modernization Program for industrial zones, agricultural clusters, and transportation hubs in our countries;
✅ The idea of developing a Unified Digital Map of Critical Mineral Reserves in Central Asia was put forward;
✅ The creation of a Shared Computing Infrastructure to pool the capabilities of our countries was initiated;
✅ It was proposed to launch joint programs to train sector-specific personnel, support scientific projects, and create more opportunities for technological entrepreneurship;
✅ The development of a Regional Atlas of In-Demand Occupations and Competencies was initiated, which will directly link the education system with the development of industry, transportation, energy, digital technologies, and other sectors.
