The meeting focused on the competitive advantages of the Nordic countries in the field of innovation development, including their experience in launching and supporting new innovation projects and exploring emerging areas such as quantum technologies. The parties also discussed the potential application of this experience in the countries of Central Asia.
Particular attention was given to technological development in the field of green energy amid the growing transition of Central Asian countries toward renewable energy sources and the implementation of economic decarbonization programs.

Javlon Vakhabov noted that Central Asia possesses significant potential for renewable energy development, including vast solar and wind resources, as well as prospects for the production of green hydrogen.
It was emphasized that Uzbekistan is implementing large-scale programs for the development of renewable energy, attracting more than €20 billion in investments and commissioning major solar and wind power plants.

At the same time, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation with the Nordic countries in the modernization of energy grids, the development of smart energy systems, the exchange of experience in organizing electricity markets, as well as technological partnerships in the field of green energy and capacity-building initiatives.
Nordic Innovation is an intergovernmental organization under the Nordic Council of Ministers that promotes innovation, sustainable growth, and business cooperation among the Nordic countries—Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. It supports joint projects, new technologies, and initiatives that strengthen the region’s competitiveness and green transition.
