The meeting focused on advancing Uzbekistan–U.S. cooperation both bilaterally and within the C5+1 framework. The two sides discussed ways to expand trade and investment ties, strengthen interparliamentary dialogue, enhance transport connectivity, and promote practical projects in critical minerals, infrastructure, energy, and agriculture.
Javlon Vakhabov noted that the Uzbekistan–U.S. partnership is gaining increasingly practical economic substance. In this context, the parties reviewed opportunities related to the work of the American-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council, investment cooperation with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, and the participation of American companies in infrastructure, energy, processing, and critical minerals projects.
Particular attention was also given to the potential for cooperation with the State of Montana in agricultural technologies, water-efficient farming, livestock development, and the storage and processing of agricultural products.
Senator Daines, for his part, reaffirmed his readiness to continue supporting stronger U.S. engagement with Uzbekistan and Central Asia, including through the Senate Central Asia Caucus and the C5+1 platform. He also highlighted the opportunities for advancing concrete projects in trade, investment, and regional connectivity, including the Trump Route as an initiative that could strengthen transport and logistics links between Central Asia, the South Caucasus, Europe, and the Middle East.
