Opening the meeting, Javlon Vakhabov briefed his interlocutors on IICA's work, goals, and mandate, providing a detailed overview of current cooperation processes in Central Asia and engagement among the countries of the region within the "C5+" platforms.
For her part, Ruth ben Naftali commended Uzbekistan's foreign policy course aimed at strengthening regional cooperation in Central Asia.
Participants also commended the consistent steps taken by Central Asian states to strengthen cooperation in water resources management.
The Israeli side expressed readiness to expand practical engagement, identifying water conservation, water resources management, and the application of sustainable development technologies — areas in which Israel has considerable expertise — as promising avenues for cooperation.
Following the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in developing practical engagement and establishing regular expert dialogue between the analytical and research institutions of the two countries.
