IICA to Host Roundtable on the Future of Uzbekistan–Kazakhstan Allied Relations
On April 18, the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) will host a roundtable: “New Dynamics of Uzbekistan–Kazakhstan Allied Relations: What Comes Next After the Bukhara Summit?” The event is co-organized with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Tashkent.

The discussion will focus on the outcomes of the official visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Uzbekistan on April 11, as well as on emerging opportunities to further advance bilateral cooperation.

Participants will explore practical pathways for deepening the strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries, with particular attention to expanding trade and economic ties, strengthening people-to-people contacts, and enhancing coordination at the regional level.

The roundtable will bring together representatives of government institutions, the diplomatic community, leading research centers and think tanks, academia, as well as cultural and public organizations from both countries.

The program features three thematic sessions examining the role of allied relations in advancing bilateral cooperation, identifying new drivers of growth in trade, investment, and transport and logistics, and reinforcing engagement within the broader Central Asian context.
