IICA strengthens partnership with the Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation
On October 31, the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) hosted a roundtable discussion titled “Central Asia and the Nordic Countries: New Opportunities for Partnership” with the participation of H.E. Alexander Stubb, President of Finland. Within the framework of the event, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the International Institute for Central Asia and the Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation.
November 10, 2025, in Samarkand, on the sidelines of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, a special side event titled “New Central Asia: Path to Shared Development and Prosperity through Culture, Education and Science” will take place.

More than 2,800 participants from 190 countries attended the event, including around 70 high-ranking officials. During the opening ceremony, Audrey Azoulay reflected on her tenure, stating: “UNESCO has gone through difficult times in recent years but has become more transparent and adaptable.”
