The first site visited was the Ürümqi International Land Port, a key transport and logistics hub for China's westbound routes. The port facilitates freight transport to 19 countries and 26 cities, including along the China-Central Asia-Europe route. Its average annual freight turnover is approximately 900 thousand tons.
In coordination with Xinjiang’s border crossings, the hub processes approximately 60% of China’s westbound overland railway freight. Port representatives expressed interest in collaborating with the Andijan Region to establish a modern multimodal logistics complex. In the future, such a facility could service freight flows along the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway currently under construction.

Furthermore, the IICA experts visited the China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Co., which specializes in manufacturing equipment for the construction of railways, tunnels, and other major infrastructure projects.
It was noted that the company already has experience operating in the Uzbekistan market. In 2023, cotton-harvesting machinery was delivered to the Fergana Valley and successfully underwent testing in local field conditions. Given these positive results, the enterprise is considering expanding its supplies of agricultural machinery to Uzbekistan.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to explore prospects for implementing joint projects in railway engineering, infrastructure construction, and logistics.
