A major milestone was the inaugural meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, held during President Emomali Rahmon’s state visit to Bukhara. The meeting gave new impetus to joint projects and to expanding trade, industrial cooperation, transport connectivity, and engagement in the water, energy and humanitarian sectors.

Strengthening Uzbek-Tajik cooperation serves the interests of both brotherly peoples and contributes to peace, stability and sustainable development throughout Central Asia.
